Ans has led to reduced workload for lecturers and increased satisfaction for students who gained an important learning opportunity

Organizing the exam review process for courses with large number of students typically requires significant time investment and responsibility from everyone involved in grading. Working with Ans means that this process is streamlined in a way that increases both theefficiency and convenience of the reviewers, and the reliability and clarity of the correction process for students.

In the Control Theory MSc course, where I have used Ans, this has led to reduced workload for lecturers and teaching assistants, and increased satisfaction forstudents who gained an important learning opportunity by the feedback provided during the online exam result review.

The Ans team is constantly improving the system based on user feedback, and offer valuable analysis tools to interpret exam results and identify potential places for improvement in exam design. Their immediate help and responsiveness with all aspects of implementation (from online exam design, through delivery of exam papers, to organizing the scanning process) has been instrumental in making my transition from traditional paper-based grading to the much more efficient and transparent online grading system seamless and very rewarding.

Ans is the answer for effective support in education.

For the last three years I have used the support of Ans for the BSc courses that I teach, such as Dynamics (1st year) and Introduction to Modeling, Systems and Control (2nd year) at the Delft University of Technology programmes Mechanical Engineering and Clinical Technology. Ans has developed a system for automatically grading MATLAB and Simulink exercises. This system works better than grading by hand: it is objective, fast and it saves the teaching staff an enormous amount of time. With the large numbers of students (up to 1000 students per year) it would be practically impossible to assess all these exercises personally.

Starting this year, I also use the Ans system for digital reviewing of exams and giving students access to their corrected work. This system too is a big leap forward! Reviewing is quick, anonymous and all the administrative work to enter the results in Excel sheets belongs to the past.

Being a teacher I automatically set high standards to new systems like these and in fact there is no time for errors or other causes of delay. The young, dynamic team of Ans is amazing: they are quick, efficient and always willing to assist when I don't understand something or want something to be changed. Summarizing - Ans is the answer for effective support of education!

With Ans my grading process is super simplified.

For me, working with Ans means convenience. Before I made use of the Ans exam grading platform, students used standard forms for the exams that we went through by hand. Working with stocks of paper, searching for answers and administrating all the grades was a big hassle.

Since I work with the Ans system, this process is simplified significantly. I can grade exams everywhere and whenever I want, and I do not have to worry about the hassle of administration. In other words: thanks to Ans I experience more comfort in the examination process and even during a trip to the United States I could grade exams!

With Ans every student can learn from his/her mistakes.

The administration and logistics
of exams with large numbers of students has always been a lot of work. Take just the time needed to organize all the papers and the summation of awarded points: we used to spend some hours on it for each exam. But thanks to Ans this is a thing of the past: the Ans platform takes care of this unproductive work. The students benefit from it, too: they can see their corrected exams easily online. In this way every student has a direct opportunity to learn from mistakes made.

Ans is innovative, quick and involved. Their team is strong in thinking 'out of the box' and identifying points where the quality or efficiency can be improved. They are able to adapt their software quickly and make sure that they are personally present during pilot projects or when new software is first used in a live environment. Pleasant to work with and highly recommended!
